Historic Topographic Maps: The Bill Hunt Collection

February 9th 2010 Update:  We have sorted through most of the 45,000+ maps and here is a brief overview of the scales:

7 1/2 minute - 1:24,000 scale maps from the 1950's up.
30 minute - 1/250,000 scale maps from 1890 to about 1920
15 minute - 1/62,500 scale maps from the mid 1900's
 

Most of the maps are from the western half of the country, with sporadic coverage of others states.

Once the scanning is farther along we will have a better idea of what areas are covered and at what scales.
