Magellan License Free Radio |
The Magellan License Free Radios available with
ProMark3.RTK systems do not required a FCC license for operation in
the United States. They have limited range (~1,400 feet).
For longer
operating range, Igage recommends Pacific Crest UHF radios and we
offer pre-configured kits available from stock [
more information ].
An FCC License is required for Pacific Crest 4
watt and 35 watt radio operation. Prior to operating your radio
modems, you must obtain a license from the FCC. Licensing is a
simple and affordable process, and is absolutely required. Operating
an unlicensed radio transmitter is punishable by fine and possible
(probable) confiscation of equipment.
We recommend that you use a licensing service to
help you apply for a license. These services are very knowledgeable
regarding all the proper forms and submission requirements for
expediting the licensing process.
You will only save $175 by filling out the forms
yourself!
Many of our customers call Becky Vogelsong of EWA. Her
number is 1-703-797-5144. The cost for licensing is about $495.
