All the required hardware and software needed to perform fast centimeter accurate static, stop & go, and kinematic surveys, as well as GIS/mapping, is ready to go, right out of the box.

ProMark3 easily beats optical instruments in terms of portability and range. It is highly shock and water resistant, designed to perform even in the toughest environments. Easy-to-learn, easy-to-use and cost-effective, ProMark3 is the must-have GPS system for post-processed survey and sub-meter GIS.

Static or RTK receivers both include the MobileMapping software which is post-processable to sub-foot accuracy.

The ProMark 3 is the same (exact) hardware platform as the MobileMapper CX (and CE). The operating system is Microsoft Windows CE.NET 4.x instead of 5.x, however since the system is closed (you can’t add or take away software) the OS does not make much
difference.

The PM3 comes complete with an external antenna, antenna cable, field bracket, soft carrying case, prism pole extender. If purchased in pairs an initialization bar and GNSS Solutions distribution disk is also included. (Note: GNSS Solutions is available for purchase as PN 702081-01 MSRP $2,245.00, however you can download the latest version of the full L1 product at no charge from ftp://ftp.magellangps.com/Land%20Survey/GNSS%20Solutions/ in the Software folder ).

Typically PM3’s are purchased in pairs with the intention that one receiver is used as a local reference base, however a single PM3 is an extremely effective Real Time Network GIS receiver.

The ProMark3 RTK is a system comprised of two ProMark 3 receivers with added software and a pair of radios. One receiver is configured as a Base and is set up over a fixed location. The Base broadcasts real-time-corrections over the radio to the Rover.

The Rover is initialized (this can take from 10 seconds to 10 minutes) and then as the Rover moves around, it computes it position with respect to the Base receiver. ProMark3 RTK systems are about 1/3 the price of a dual frequency RTK receiver pair like the PM500. Once fixed, they are just as accurate as a ZMax pair, but they extremely finicky under canopy.

The standard 900 MHz unlicensed radios have a 1,500 foot range and are not suitable for boundary surveys. We offer a PacCrest UHF radio solution for the ProMark3.RTK receiver which extends the range considerably. [ Click for more information on Pacific Crest Radios ]

We inspect all of the PM3 receivers that we sell verifying that:

o they turn on
o the display works
o the GPS works
o the touch screen works
o we check the USB port
o we check the SD Card operation
o we preinstall and activate RTK and FAST Survey if purchased

We ship receivers directly from our warehouse (they are not drop-shipped from a distributor). We check every receiver to make sure they work and we (not you) return defective receivers and equipment to the factory.

These are complicated receivers, there are a lot of things that can go wrong out of the box. Wherever you purchase your ProMark 3, make sure that it has been tested by the dealer, and that they will replace it if there are problems. You don't want to have to return a brand new receiver to the factory for service!
