Comparing Igage All Topo Maps and Our Competitor's Scans
It is difficult to directly compare the competitor's scans with the Igage All
Topo Scans.
The All Topo scans are effectively 250 DPI scans, while our
competitor's scans are 112 to 160 DPI scans. The following comparisons highlight
the differences between actual screenshots of the Igage All Topo
Maps V7 Pro maps and our 'largest competitor'.
All Topo Maps reduced to 48%
Downsampling the Igage screen shot at 48% to match the competitor's image size:

Igage All Topo Maps at 100%
All Topo Maps at full size (100%) notice how clean the contour lines and text appear:

Competitor zoomed in to (nearly) match (200%) Notice the compression artifacts

The competitor's product can only be zoomed to a few discreet zoom levels
so we can't match the full size All Topo image exactly.
All Topo Maps are usable when greatly magnified since they are compressed
with loss-less compression. The competitor's lossy compressed maps are nearly worthless when zoomed in.
Here are actual screen shots of zoomed in coverage from the two programs:
Igage at 180% (actual screen shot)

Competitor at 400% (actual screen shot)

All Topo Maps are clearly superior! (pun intended...) |
